Application

1. Optical Glass: As an additive for high refractive index glass, when used together with lanthanum, it can enhance the thermal stability and optical properties of the glass, and is used for manufacturing optical prisms, lenses, and laser equipment.

2. Electronic Components: It is an impurity for yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) and yttrium iron garnet (YIG), used for manufacturing microwave devices, magnetic bubble memories, permanent magnetic materials, and ceramic capacitors.

3. Used as an admixture for yttrium aluminum and yttrium iron garnets, as well as a sensitizing fluorescent material in medical devices.
