Lanthanum oxide is mainly used for manufacturing precision optical glass and optical fibers. It is also used in the electronics industry as a ceramic capacitor and piezoelectric ceramic admixture. It is also used as a raw material for the production of lanthanum boride and as a catalyst for petroleum separation and refining.

Application

1: Used for manufacturing precision optical glass and optical fibers.
2: Used in the electronics industry for ceramic capacitors, piezoelectric ceramic dopants.
3: Used in La-Ce-Tb phosphors for fluorescent lamps and making special optical glasses, such as infrared-absorbing glass, as well as camera and telescope lenses.
4: Low grade of Lanthanum Oxide is widely used in ceramics and FCC catalyst, and also as raw material for Lanthanum Metal production.
5: Lanthanum Oxide is also used as a grain growth additive during the liquid phase sintering of Silicon Nitride and Zirconium Diboride.
