Application

1. As an efficient catalyst

Cesium carbonate is mainly used as a catalyst for ‌ and performs particularly well in organic synthesis. It has good solubility in organic solvents and can be used as an inorganic base in various reactions such as Heck coupling, Suzuki coupling, Sonogashira coupling, as well as O-alkylation of phenol compounds, significantly increasing the reaction yield. ‌

In solar cells, cesium carbonate can be used as a modification layer between the active layer and the aluminum electrode to form Al-O-Cs compounds, reducing series resistance, thereby increasing short-circuit current and photoelectric conversion efficiency, and enhancing device stability. In addition, it is also used to improve the electron injection performance of inverted top-emission structure OLED devices.
