Rare Earth High Purity Gadolinium Oxide Gd2o3
Basic information:
White amorphous powder. Density 7.407g/cm3. Melting point 2330±20℃(some data say 2420℃). Insoluble in water, soluble in acid to form the corresponding salt. It is easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide in the air, and can interact with ammonia to form a hydrate precipitation of gadolinium.
Application:
It is used as an additive of yttrium aluminum and yttrium iron garnet, an sensitized fluorescent material in medical devices, a control material for nuclear reactors, a raw material for making metal gadolinium, a material for making magnetic bubbles and an additive for optical prisms, etc.
